Sound Bight Media creates and distributed premiere educational shows where the focus is always on geography! The company was founded by Geoff Gibson, host of the popular YouTube channel Geography By Geoff and has slowly grown to include additional shows across both video and audio.
Sound Bight Media is located in Portland, Oregon.
Did you spell misspell your name?
No! The name “Sound Bight” is derived from two geographic features that are prominent within the Pacific Northwest. A ‘sound’ is a smaller body of water usually connected to a sea or an ocean, such as the Puget Sound in Washington state. A ‘bight’ is a concave bend or curvature in a coastline, river or other geographical feature such as McKenzie Bight in British Columbia. This is a play on the word “soundbite” which is a common term in the entertainment industry.
